I’ve also worked in the Temple Independent School District as a computer lab assistant and elementary teacher, and at Goodwill where I helped people prepare for new job opportunities.

In there somewhere, we began attending Belton Nazarene and immediately became a part of the family here.

I’m currently working with technology in our church, making sure we have people to run sound, slides, and our live stream. If you enjoy those types of things, please talk with me. We’re always looking for folks to help support the ministry of the church from the sound booth!

I’m Jerry Wickwire, and I’ve had the opportunity of being a part of Belton Nazarene Church for more than 20 years. I’ve seen good times and hard times, but I’ve always enjoyed being a part of this family.

My wife Beth and I met at Bethany Nazarene College in Oklahoma before it matured into Southern Nazarene University. She would always greet me with “Howdy” in this cute little Texas accent.

We married after graduation and spent our honeymoon moving to Kansas City, Missouri, so I could attend Nazarene Theological Seminary.

We have two grown children, Chad and Sabrina, and two grandchildren. We pastored in Rockdale and Sweeny, Texas, before pastoring Temple Grace Nazarene Church for about 7 years.
