Rev. Michael Benson has served in Christian ministry for more than four decades. He first sensed God’s call to preach while in college, and that calling has shaped the direction of his life ever since.

He holds degrees from Southern Nazarene University and Nazarene Theological Seminary and earned a Doctor of Ministry in Spiritual Formation from Asbury Theological Seminary in 2001.

Over the years, Dr. Benson has served in local church leadership, as a senior pastor, and as a traveling preacher working with congregations across the country. He has led more than 400 revival services, retreats, and church gatherings. He also spent nearly ten years as a university chaplain and instructor, mentoring and teaching college students in theology and Christian ministry.

In recent years, much of his focus has been evangelistic outreach within the motorcycle community. He serves nationally with a Christian motorcycle ministry and has helped plant biker-focused churches designed to reach individuals who may not feel at home in traditional church settings. These congregations are built around a simple mission: loving God, loving people, and living out their faith in practical ways.

Michael and his wife Gwen live in Illinois. They have three married children and eight grandchildren.
